Pats Acquire Albert Haynesworth & Ochocinco!

28 Jul

What a day for New England Patriots and their fans. Early this morning they acquired Albert Haynesworth, who I was a little skeptical about but feel he is going to be a beast for a few reasons. The first reason is that he is playing for New England who has the reputation to turn “punks” into champions. Secondly, he is playing where he wants to be playing on the D-Line surrounded by other defensive threats. Thirdly, he is playing for a team that has a chance to win, unlike the Washington Redskins. Finally, he has Coach Bill Belichick to report too rather than Mike Shanahan who seemed to only come back to coach last year to break balls instead of win games.

Tom Brady has found a Pro Bowl receiver in Ochocinco who also has other compliment receivers including Deion Branch. Ochocinco is an elite receiver that the Patriots have needed ever since losing Randy Moss. I don’t think Ochocinco and Tom Brady will have the connection that Moss and Brady did in 07 but I think it will be a great one indeed. I will put money on it, that Ochocinco has over 10 TDs this year and more likely 12 or 13. He finally has healthy quarterback to throw him the rock and is being put in a very sound offensive scheme. If anyone wants to bet against me, let me know.

What a Day for the Pats it has been in acquiring players. I was starting to get a little nervous with all of the moves and talks of future moves that the Jets were making. I was just looking at the power rankings before this was released and the Pats were 10 and the Jets were 9 which was kind of aggravating to me because I hate the Jets. There is still a lot of time for moves to be made but so far I am happy with the way things are going. Now I wouldn’t hate if we strengthened up our secondary a bit and got a stud running back. I believe Chris Johnson is still available, make the move Pats, DO IT!
