While plenty of other NBA players ponder the thought of heading out of the country to play professional basketball while the NBA figures out a new labor agreement, 27-year-old Oklahoma City Thunder guard Nate Robinson(notes)has a completely different idea.
“I might go play football,” the 5-9, 180-pounder told SLAM. “Do something that nobody’s tried to do.”
Robinson went to the University of Washington on a football scholarship, Slam notes, and played one great season at cornerback there.
So when the NFL’s lockout ends, Robinson plans on trying out, the site reports. “Why wouldn’t you want to have an NBA player that can play football try out?” Robinson asked. “That’s a lot of publicity for your organization.”
